Diabetes and food

Recommended Foods

Dairy products

  • Semi-skimmed milk
  • Plain yogurt
  • Small Swiss cheese or 20 or 0% fat in dry matter
  • Hard cheese (Emmental, Gruyere, Parmesan, County ...)


Meat-Fish-Eggs

  • All meat and poultry by varying the maximum
  • Cooked ham
  • All offal (+++ liver and blood sausage)

Menus:

Breakfast:

10 am:

Lunch:
(Fat, 1-2 teaspoon (s) tablespoon per person, is to leave the whole meal)
Tomato salad feta cheese (raw vegetables)
Basque Chicken + Rice basmati (OPV + + Starchy vegetables cooked)
Yogurt sweetened fruits (dairy products)
+ Bread and water.

Snack:
Porridge (milk product + starchy full)
Mandarine (raw fruit)

Dinner:
(Oily materials, 1-2 teaspoon (s) tablespoon per person, is to leave the whole meal)
Salad: green beans, potatoes, Swiss cheese (cooked starchy vegetables +)
Spinach Florentine (OPV + cooked vegetables)
Small Swiss (Dairy Product)
Kiwi (raw Fruit)
+ Bread and water.


The recipes:
Stewed pears with cinnamon house (cooked fruit)
Ingredients for 4 people
4 pears
Cinnamon powder or stick
4 tablespoons of powdered aspartame
Few drops of lemon

Preparation: 35 minutes
Wash, peel pears, rewash, cut into pieces and lemon juice slightly.
Put the pieces with a tablespoon of water in a heavy saucepan.
Cook over low heat for about 20 minutes.
Overwrite the pears with a fork.
Mix the sauce with aspartame and cinnamon.
To cut and serve hot or cold according to taste.

Basque chicken (OPV):
Ingredients for 2 persons
200 to 250 g of chicken breast
300 g of tomato
50g red depoivrons
50 g of onions
½ clove garlic
30 ml of olive oil
1 bouquet garni
4 sprigs of parsley
Salt pepper

Preparation: 50 minutes
Wash the vegetables and set aside.
Peel the tomatoes and onion.
Brown chicken in oil in a cast iron pot. Book it on a hot water bath.
Cut the pepper, onion and tomatoes into pieces while the cooked chicken.
In the same pan as the chicken, sweat the onions without browning, then add the peppers, chicken, bouquet garni, peeled garlic cut in the 2 and tomatoes.
Season to taste. Cover and cook about 20 minutes on low heat.
Serve in warmed plates with decoration parsley.


Porridge (full Starchy + dairy product):
Ingredients for 1 person
100 ml of skimmed milk ½
20 g of oatmeal
1 tablespoon of aspartame

Preparation time: 5 to 7 minutes
Put the milk and oatmeal in a pot.
Heat over low heat until thickened (5-7 minutes).
Off the heat add aspartame.
Serve hot or cold according to taste.
